Design and Development
Scalextric4schools is pleased to announce Root solutions as the design development partner in recognition of their support of the competition. Hornby are a successful Root Solutions customer and use Creo Elements/Pro (formerly Pro|ENGINEER) to design Scalextric, Hornby railway, Airfix and Corgi products. A great UK success story, the company uses PTC products from concept through to manufacture and documentation.

Design and Manufacture
In recognition of their continued support, Scalextric 4 schools is pleased to announce Boxford and CR Clarke are continuing their role as performance partners for  design and manufacture.

With a history going back over 50 years, Boxford is the leading manufacturer and supplier of CAD/CAM systems and CNC equipment to Schools, Colleges and Universities.  Boxford have taken the lead on machining wooden moulds for vacuum forming car bodies and aluminium moulds for injection moulding slot guides.

CR Clarke specialises in the design and manufacture of equipment for the thermoforming and fabrication of  thermoplastic materials. The company has developed an extensive range of products for both the educational and commercial sectors, including machines for bending, vacuum forming, dip coating and diamond polishing.  C R Clarke machines have been used extensively by schools to vacuum form car bodies and injection mould slot guides for the Scalextric4Schools project. 
Recently, C R Clarke launched an in-school plastic recycling system withgranulation and compression moulding.  This process is ideal for the new Eco formula!
